Quantum IQ Goes Live: 500+ Schools Invited to Book Immunisation Dates

In January 2024, HCRG Care Group was awarded the contract to deliver the School-Age Immunisation Programme across Bath and North East Somerset (BaNES), Swindon, and Wiltshire—collectively known as BSW.

The new five-year contract, which commenced on 1st August 2024, builds on HCRG’s long-standing role in the region, having delivered school-age vaccinations since 2016 alongside a wide range of community health services.

To support the scale and complexity of the new contract, HCRG introduced Quantum IQ—a purpose-built operational planning system designed to streamline data, automate staff allocation, and improve real-time oversight across the entire programme.

This week marked a major milestone in that transformation: Over 500 school invitations were sent out through Quantum IQ, and 350 responses were received, confirmed and uploaded within a single day.

This level of instant engagement isn’t just operationally impressive—it’s a pivotal moment for how school immunisation programmes are planned and delivered across the region. What was once a slow, manual, and resource-heavy process has become fast, coordinated, and responsive—unlocking new potential for how immunisation programmes are delivered.

Vaccinations are among the most powerful tools in public health, yet in 2023, UK uptake for all 14 childhood vaccines fell below the World Health Organisation’s 95% target for the first time.

While hesitancy plays a role, most missed vaccinations stem from practical barriers—missed appointments, unclear communication, or limited access. To close the gap, immunisation teams need to be equipped not only to deliver vaccines but to engage communities, build trust, and respond rapidly. That means freeing up skilled staff to be out in the community, educating families, building trust, and delivering vaccines—not tied to desks wrestling with outdated spreadsheets.

When HCRG inherited the BSW contract, critical data such as school lists and cohort sizes were out of date, and staff were burdened by labor-intensive planning. Manual allocation in spreadsheets consumed months of clinical and managerial time, led to staffing mismatches, over reliance on expensive bank staff, and left teams with poor oversight and reactive reporting.

Quantum IQ was designed to break this cycle. Built with a focus on data integrity and operational efficiency, it replaced fragmented workflows with a smart, real-time allocation system. It freed up frontline teams to focus on what matters—delivering care—while giving managers the visibility and tools they need to plan and adapt with confidence.

And this week, that investment proved its worth.

Instant invite responses, coordinated scheduling and accurate oversight. What once took weeks of admin now happens in hours. It’s more than a logistical win; it’s a turning point for public health delivery in BSW.

Quantum IQ isn’t just improving operations; it’s helping protect the health of an entire generation.
